St. Charles pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of North Point by a score of 69-66. St. Charles was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Point apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
St. Charles' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shamir Taylor, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier Buchanan, who scored 18 points.
North Point got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Collin Farmer out in front who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 2 assists. Landhn Mathis was another key contributor, scoring 25 points.
St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for North Point, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Charles will face off against Thomas Stone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Thomas Stone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for North Point, they will head out on the road to face off against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Westlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
