Waterloo came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils with a sharp 8-2 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Waterloo's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Mynderse Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
