The Roswell Coyotes will head out to face off against the Santa Fe Demons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Roswell will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Roswell barely beat Lovington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Coyotes never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Thursday. The Coyotes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th.

The team relied heavily on Adrian Lucero, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savino Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Roswell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe came up short against St. Michael's on Saturday, falling 13-7. That's two games in a row now that the Demons have lost by exactly six runs.
Darrell Carbajal put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Santa Fe: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, Matthew Armijo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Logan Gallegos was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Santa Fe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Roswell, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
Roswell beat Santa Fe 6-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2015. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
