On FridayRepublic's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 victory over the Selkirk Rangers. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Republic pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Selkirk, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-1 record.

Republic and Cusick will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Republic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Selkirk, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northport at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
