Unity Christian has gone 9-1 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Two weeks ago, Unity Christian got the win against Grandville by a conclusive 12-3. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Madeline Dykhouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Unity Christian let Makenna Bareman and Brooklyn Overweg run wild. Bareman fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Overweg got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Ella Davison was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Unity Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grandville only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Hamilton got themselves on the board against Hopkins last Wednesday, but Hopkins never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Vikings.
Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Everything went Unity Christian's way against Hamilton in their previous matchup back in June of 2025, as Unity Christian made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Hawkeyes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
