Softball Recap: Valley View Extends Winning Streak to Three

Valley View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Scranton Knights as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Grace Munley looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Cora Castellani was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Zoie Krupovich was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Valley View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive contests.

Valley View's record is now 5-1. As for Scranton, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will square off against Crestwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Scranton, they will take on Abington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
