It was a good run, but the Cresskill Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Sunday. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Lee. Cresskill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Lee apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Leading Fort Lee to victory were Devin Jang and Guy Vickers. Jang scored 18 points, while Vickers dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Vickers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxwell Greenberg, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Cresskill's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Fort Lee, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cresskill will take on Emerson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Lee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dumont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dumont presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Lee in New Jersey (Dumont is ranked 86th, while Fort Lee is ranked 313th).
