The Tucker County Mountain Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Midland Trail 46-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Tucker County, who have now won eight games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tucker County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Rosenau, who threw for 283 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Maddox Anderson was another key contributor, picking up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tucker County's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Berkeley Springs and 2-8 Pocahontas County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.6% over those games). As for Midland Trail, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Tucker County will take on Tug Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Bryson Elia and Jared Reall. Midland Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
