Tavares will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating South Lake, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Tavares skirted past South Lake 4-2. The four-run effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Emersyn Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Jasmine Lawrence was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Padilla, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Mount Dora's offense. They came up short against Eustis on Friday, falling 10-0.
Tavares' victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Mount Dora, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Mount Dora's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tavares has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. It's a different story for Mount Dora, though, as they've only averaged .280. Will they be able to contain Tavares' hitters?
