After a string of four wins, Yuma's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs by a score of 8-6. The Outlaws were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fightin' Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Jesus Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Lennox Huwa, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Yuma's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Haxtun, their record now sits at 7-2.

Looking ahead, Yuma will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Platte Valley at 11:00 a.m. As for Haxtun, they will venture away from home to square off against Flatirons Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
