The Mossyrock Vikings entered their tilt with the Willapa Valley Vikings with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Mossyrock walked away with a 35-28 win over Willapa Valley on Monday. Given Mossyrock's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Willapa Valley is ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Willapa Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hadlee Russell, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds, and Tylar Keeton who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Mossyrock pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Willapa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.
Mossyrock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Willapa Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
