After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Veta, Custer County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Hinkley Thunder with a sharp 17-7 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Taylor Bradford was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Custer County is 6-1 when Bradford posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Colt Moulton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Custer County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Custer County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Hinkley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Custer County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hinkley, they will square off against Arvada at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
