Ashland strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Sandusky Blue Streaks with a sharp 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Arrows, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Justtin Kyser looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Ashland let Ajay Wormnan and Jeff Hickey run wild. Wormnan went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Hickey scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Michael Franz was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Ashland's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sandusky, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, Ashland will head out to challenge Wooster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandusky, they will welcome Vermilion at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
