The Smithville Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Giddings Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Smithville's last game on Friday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. Neither they nor Rockdale could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Smithville's first draw of the season.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Giddings was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Rockdale.
Giddings' goal came courtesy of
Jonathan Aburto, which was the first he's scored this season.
Smithville's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-1. Meanwhile, Giddings' record is now 5-7-2.
