Lexington proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Phoenix Academy Firebirds 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Lexington was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11.
Lexington's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Phoenix Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
