The Calhoun Yellow Jackets took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (barely). They had just enough and edged Southeast Whitfield County out 2-1. For Calhoun, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 loss Southeast Whitfield County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Calhoun was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Alex Delgado and
Jordan Garcia, who scored both of Calhoun's goals.
Calhoun didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory vs. Gordon Central on the 8th. Southeast Whitfield County has also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Meadowcreek on the 9th.
