Kennedy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Livermore Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Kennedy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to AIMS College Prep.
Despite the loss, Kennedy got a solid performance out of Jayson Scarbrough, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Martin, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Livermore came up short against American on Saturday and fell 54-47. While losing is never fun, Livermore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 675th, while American is ranked 325th).
Kennedy bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Livermore, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Kennedy came up short against Livermore in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 53-40. Thankfully for Kennedy, Cameron Devros (who scored 14 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
