University Christian was beaten by Ponte Vedra 47-14 on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points University Christian has scored all season.
Maya Richards continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ponte Vedra, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Richards hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Breah Usry was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
University Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Ponte Vedra, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Christian will take on Palatka at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Palatka will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while University Christian is ranked 95th). As for Ponte Vedra, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:30 p.m.
