Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 40-0 loss at the hands of Banks Academy. While losing is never fun, Macon-East Montgomery Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Banks Academy is ranked 181st).
Sam Wallace threw for 43 yards on seven of 12 attempts.
Macon-East Montgomery Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Banks Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Macon-East Montgomery Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banks Academy will square off against Clarke Prep at TBD on Thursday.
