It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Kimball Jaguars had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 25-21 victory over Nevada Union. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kimball.
Leading Kimball to victory were Angelo Valencia and Josiah Wilson. Valencia picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Wilson threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns. Valencia was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 65 yards.
Although Nevada Union took the loss, they still got scores from Rhyder Eelkema and Bodey Eelkema.
Kimball has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Nevada Union, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Kimball will head out on the road to face off against Patterson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patterson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Kimball likes a good challenge. Nevada Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
