On Thursday, John F. Kennedy Catholic made easy work of Aquinas and carried off a 14-4 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
John F. Kennedy Catholic got a massive performance out of Katie Andre, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Andre has posted since back in April of 2024. Samiya Currie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
John F. Kennedy Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas only posted a batting average of .071.
Meanwhile, Lake Center Christian got themselves on the board against Central Christian on Thursday, but Central Christian never followed suit. They blew past the Comets 12-0. The Tiger might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 11 runs or more this season.
Lake Center Christian let Madison Zook and Lilly Kane run wild. Zook went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Kane went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That home run marked the first that Zook has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Westfall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Lake Center Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, their record is now 3-10.
John F. Kennedy Catholic skirted past Lake Center Christian 12-10 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
