The Bloomingdale Bulls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Riverview 58-27 on the road. The win was just business as usual for Bloomingdale, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
Bloomingdale was led to victory by Izellah Kendrick and Noelle Mengel. Kendrick dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Mengel scored 15 points along with nine steals. Kendrick set a new season high mark in steals with five. Another player making a difference was Tabitha Vega, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Riverview had strong showings from Kaylee Dominguez, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Kennedy McCormick, who scored four points. Dominguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Bloomingdale pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Riverview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Bloomingdale will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Bay at 8:00 p.m. East Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while Bloomingdale is ranked 26th). As for Riverview, they will head out on the road to face off against Spoto at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spoto is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
