California is a perfect 10-0 against El Rancho since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Condors will face off against the Dons at 3:15 p.m. California will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
California came out on top against Santa Fe on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Condors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Chiefs a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Condors, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Pricilla Ramirez tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hailey Chavolla and Lauren Trivino did most of the damage at the plate: Chavolla went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Trivino went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Trivino a new career-high. Stephanie Alarcon also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
California was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for El Rancho, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past Mark Keppel 5-3.
Jaelynn Barragan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Lesly Valdez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Delilah Gonzalez, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
California has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for El Rancho, their record is now 13-8-1.
El Rancho's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. California has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for El Rancho, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will California keep running through batters, or will the Dons buck the trend?
Everything went California's way against El Rancho in their previous matchup on April 10th, as California made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Condors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
