The Landmark Christian War Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Towers by a score of 62-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Landmark Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Riley Saunders continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Blake Pollock was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Landmark Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Towers, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian and McNair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully McNair focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Towers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
