Adding to the longest winning streak in Foothill this week, Valencia beat Saugus 45-8. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Vikings.
Valencia took down the Centurions 45-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Saugus' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Davenport threw for 72 yards and Blake Austin had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Austin contributed 45 yards. Ryan Shimizu helped Saugus' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 23 yards.
Jason Bornn's team's dynamic duo of Davenport and Austin proved to be unstoppable against Larry Muir's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Shimizu helped Saugus' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 23 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Valencia takes on second place Hart. Last week, the Vikings bested the Centurions, while Hart defeated West.
He has recorded 46 catches for 907 yards this year.
Accruing a total of 20 touchdowns this year, Chris Hamilton has thrown for 1,931 yards with 9 interceptions.
There should be lots of points scored when the Indians and Valencia face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Hart comes in having scored 518 this season, while the Vikings have scored 418. Mike Herrington's team scored 42 points last week as it bested the Warriors.
Valencia made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 232 from 334. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 45-8 victory over Saugus last week.
