After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garfield, the Roosevelt Roughriders were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Seattle Prep by a score of 58-48. For Roosevelt, this counts as revenge for the 53-49 loss Seattle Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Roosevelt found their leader in underclassman Emma Curtis, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. The match was Curtis' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Hall, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Seattle Prep, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will take on West Seattle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seattle Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Names Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
