Baldwin is 10-0 against Howard since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Baldwin Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Howard Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Baldwin has ten straight wins, Howard has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Baldwin stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 75-50 margin over Lowndes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Baldwin has posted since December 8, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Neal, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Neal also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Madison Ruff was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Howard came up short against West Laurens on Friday and fell 51-43.
Baldwin's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Howard, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14.
Everything came up roses for Baldwin against Howard in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 64-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
