St. Joseph's Prep extended the longest winning streak in Philadelphia Catholic AAAA this week by beating Archbishop Ryan, 29-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Father Judge made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,693 from 2,783.
La Salle College's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Explorers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Kane has thrown for 1174 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Sean Coleman has 28 catches for 428 yards. Jimmy Herron leads the league in rushing with 231 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between St. Joseph's Prep and La Salle College. Gabe Infante's team comes into the matchup ranked first in the state, while the Explorers ranks fifth.
Two of the top units in Philadelphia Catholic AAAA will face off this week when La Salle College takes on the Hawks. Drew Gordon's team's offense has recorded 271 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while St. Joseph's Prep has permitted only 73 on the year.
