It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bruni Badgers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Sabinal on Thursday, falling 40-8. Bruni was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sabinal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sabinal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Israel Gonzales, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Rodriguez was in the mix as well, providing Sabinal with two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Bruni and nudges their season record down to 5-6. As for Sabinal, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Bruni does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sabinal also has no future games currently scheduled.
