The Independence 76ers lost against the St. Charles Cardinals back in January of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Independence was dealt a 75-29 defeat at the hands of St. Charles. Independence has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Amari Williams was Independence's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Montael Davis held things down on the boards with two rebounds. Davis took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Charles, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Marion-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles will be home for the holidays to greet Dublin Coffman at 1:30 p.m. on December 17th.
