The A.L. Brown Wonders will head out to  challenge the Central Cabarrus Vikings  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
A.L. Brown easily dispatched Berry last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wonders fell just short of Olympic by a score of  24-21 on Friday.

 Despite the  defeat, A.L. Brown got top-tier performance from   Lemar Grier, who rushed for 124 yards and three  scores. Grier is becoming a predictor of the Wonders' success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Cox Mill. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of  17-14 on Friday. The Vikings have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 A.L. Brown will have to contain  Damonte James as he made an impact in Central Cabarrus' last game. He rushed for 152 yards and one  TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. James is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 102 every time he's  taken the field this season.
 The  loss was their first  on the road , dropping their record down to 2-4. As for A.L. Brown, their  defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
 A.L. Brown barely slipped by Central Cabarrus when the teams last played  back in March of 2021, winning  30-29. Will the Wonders repeat their success,  or do  the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
