The Osceola Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the St. Petersburg Green Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Osceola's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so St. Petersburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Osceola was handed a eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hollins, sneaking past 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won four in a row.
Luke Pembleton looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Owen Landers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. Those hits marked the first that he allowed this season.
At the plate, Leo Smith and David Di Angelo did most of the damage at the plate: Smith scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Di Angelo scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those runs were Smith's first of the season.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5-1. As for Osceola, their record now sits at 6-3.
Osceola took their win against St. Petersburg when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 6-0. Does Osceola have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Petersburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
