Llano gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Friday. They blew past the Lytle Pirates 55-14. With the Yellowjackets ahead  41-7 at the half, the  match was all but over already.

 Luke Davis was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 171 yards and five  touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and one  score. Those  five  passing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Cash Lynch also helped with three TDs in total.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Llano proved: they limited Lytle to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. While two picked up at least three  total tackles,  Jose Sillas stood above the rest. He rushed for 67 yards. Llano didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.1.
 Llano didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Austin Humphries,  JD Friday,  and  Emerson Pool picked up one apiece. Llano received some extra help from  Sillas, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
 Llano wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  62-23  win against Comanche on the 5th. As for Lytle, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  34-27  victory against Natalia on the 5th.
