The Central Kitsap Cougars will challenge the Silas Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Silas will be up against a hot Central Kitsap squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Cougars put the hurt on Gig Harbor with a sharp 11-3 victory on Monday. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Tides on their field since April 25, 2023.
Meanwhile, Silas played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Lincoln. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Abes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Natalie Medalia made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played.
Medalia wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Conklin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Ruby Bertrand was another, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Silas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Silas' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Central Kitsap, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Central Kitsap got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Silas by a conclusive 17-3 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
