After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy Academy, the Navajo Pine Warriors were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over Tse' Yi' Gai. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Navajo Pine also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Navajo Pine was led to victory by Kyle Catron and Nehemiah McDaniel. Catron scored 14 points, while McDaniel scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Gentry Arthur, who scored six points.
Navajo Pine has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Navajo Pine will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Ramah at 2:30 p.m. Ramah is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they will head out on the road to face off against Hozho Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hozho Academy is ranked 120th, while Tse' Yi' Gai is ranked 144th).
