Pine View and Hurricane are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Pine View Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hurricane Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine View has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Pine View scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Crimson Cliffs by a score of 53-44.
Pine View found their leader in underclassman Charity Falaniko, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Falaniko has scored all season. Casey Morley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hurricane unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Snow Canyon, falling 65-31. Hurricane has not had much luck with Snow Canyon recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Pine View's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Hurricane, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Pine View came up short against Hurricane in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 53-43. Can Pine View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
