The Northmor Golden Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Wynford Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northmor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Wynford likes a good challenge.
Northmor pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Fredericktown 63-57.
Despite their loss, Northmor saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jax Wenger, who scored 18 points along with six assists, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Bentley, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wynford ended up a good deal behind Mohawk on Friday and lost 60-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wynford has scored all season.
Northmor's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Wynford, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-6.
Northmor didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Wynford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northmor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
