The Barnes Academy Vikings won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Temple Christian Academy, falling 76-40. Barnes Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Temple Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeramy Trangmar, who scored 19 points along with nine assists and five steals. Trangmar is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Colton Gaines, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Barnes Academy dropped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Temple Christian Academy, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Barnes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Temple Christian Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Greenville Classical Academy on January 26th. Greenville Classical Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Temple Christian Academy is ranked 102nd).
