Rancho Solano Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zoey Pozen led the charge by scoring 17 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Pozen continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Nenah Brown was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Tempe Prep's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Rancho Solano Prep, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tempe Prep will square off against Arete Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Highland Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
