The North Blue Devils lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 93-73 walloping at the hands of Carmen Northwest. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (71), North still had to take the loss.
John Adams and Dmonte Davis certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Adams dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Davis dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Scott, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
North now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Carmen Northwest, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North will face off against Milwaukee Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Milwaukee Marshall is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Carmen Northwest, they will head out on the road to square off against Milwaukee King at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milwaukee King will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Carmen Northwest is ranked 39th).
