It was a good run, but the Autaugaville Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 66-57 to Central. Autaugaville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 9th.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Iyanis Wallace out in front who scored 27 points along with three steals. Wallace has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Christian Lawrence was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Autaugaville's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.
Autaugaville will be playing in front of their home fans against Marbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Marbury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilcox Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Wilcox Central's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Central has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road.
