There's no place like home for the Chico Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Red Bluff on Thursday as Chico made off with a 67-41 victory. Given Chico's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Red Bluff is ranked 793rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Magnus Nielsen, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Adam Brott, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Chico's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Red Bluff, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chico will take on Foothill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Bluff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Enterprise focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
