Oxon Hill is a perfect 4-0 against Northern since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Oxon Hill Clippers will host the Northern Patriots at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Oxon Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
Two weeks ago, Oxon Hill strolled past Crossland with points to spare, taking the game 61-43. Given the Clippers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nigel Harris was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Donnell Dorsey, who had 13 points.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Northern rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 70-58 victory over the Braves. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly 12 points.
Oxon Hill better keep an eye on Alec Johnson. He was instrumental in Northern's win, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Frances Ballord-Conteh, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.
Northern pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for Oxon Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Oxon Hill and Northern are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Oxon Hill hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 67.8 points per game. However, it's not like Northern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 58.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Everything went Oxon Hill's way against Northern in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Oxon Hill made off with a 56-36 win. Will Oxon Hill repeat their success, or does Northern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
