Omaha Central hasn't had much luck against Bellevue West recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will challenge the Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. Omaha Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Omaha Central saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Lincoln Southeast.

Omaha Central got a great performance from Boe Di Lorenzo as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Di Lorenzo has posted since back in April.
On the hitting side, Oscar Yuhas-Vining was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Omaha Central: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-12 otherwise.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bellevue West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Blair on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunderbirds have posted since April 7th.
Jayden Kephart tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Drew Grego, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Zack Pinneo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Omaha Central's record now sits at 11-13. As for Bellevue West, their record is now 17-8.
Omaha Central couldn't quite get it done against Bellevue West in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 9-5. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
