He  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   three  hits. Frier has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Frier was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Noah Hill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethan Seubring, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases.
 Even though they lost, Faith Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .381. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 Purdue Broad Ripple's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-13. As for Faith Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with that  defeat, which was their 16th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Purdue Broad Ripple will have a chance to go back-to-back against Faith Christian: the pair will be back at it again later today.
