On Tuesday, the Colman-Egan C-E Hawks fell victim to a  rough 13-5 loss at the hands of the Sioux Valley Cossacks. Colman-Egan has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Kaitlyn Taggart was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and  an  RBI.  Addison Geigle was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.

She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Lantgen has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season. Lantgen was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Abby Axtell was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Kassidy Smith, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Colman-Egan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sioux Valley, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
 Colman-Egan will head out on the road to  take on  Oldham-Ramona/R at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Oldham-Ramona/R is coming into the  contest with four straight  losses at home,  meaning Colman-Egan will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. Sioux Valley will take on Deuel at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. One thing working in Sioux Valley's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last five matchups.
