Fenwick and Riverside-Brookfield are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Friars will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fenwick will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Saturday, Fenwick made easy work of Mother McAuley and carried off an 11-3 victory. Considering the Friars have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sofia Kateeb made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kateeb was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabriella Simon, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Bella Bigham, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one double.
Fenwick hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Riverside-Brookfield waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since May 2nd.
Riverside-Brookfield pushed their record up to 20-9 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fenwick, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Fenwick beat Riverside-Brookfield 7-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Friars repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
