It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Holmes County Blue Devils can now relate to. They lost to the Bucks on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin on Friday. Holmes County lost against Bozeman in their previous head to head back in October, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 29-16 score last time.
Although Holmes County took the loss, they still got scores from Landon Lumpkin and Jameson Bacon.
Peyton Gay continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bozeman, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Gay hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Holmes County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Bozeman, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Holmes County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bozeman will head out on the road to face off against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison County is on a four-game streak of home wins, Bozeman a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
