What's more, Campbell racked up 71 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August. Dylan Simmonds was Allen's top target, picking up 163 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Community Christian faced Augusta E in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.
Young Americans Christian will have to contain Fredrico Jones as he made an impact in Community Christian's last game. He rushed for 40 yards and one score, and also threw for 164 yards and one TD. Jones didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made five total tackles.
Even if they lost, Community Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Augusta E's QB won't forget Nathan Casper anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times.
Young Americans Christian's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points over those games. As for Community Christian, they moved to 6-2-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Young Americans Christian beat Community Christian 25-16 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
