Ponderosa dropped down to 6-4 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost  35-14 to the Heritage Eagles. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in November of 2024.
 Colter Espinoza threw for 148 yards and one  TD.   Blake Katsoff was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and one  score.  On the ground,  Troy WcWhorter rushed for 48 yards.
As for Heritage, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season. Considering they have won four contests by more than 20  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Mo Thenell, who rushed for 175 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Thenell also  punched in two  rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Eagles are undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.  Cooper Schwartz also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.
 Looking ahead, Ponderosa will face off against Silver Creek at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 7th. The Mustangs will be up against the Raptors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.89  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
